Interdigitated Electrodes (IDE)

Metal-based Interdigitated Electrodes (IDE) are fabricated using thin-film technologies on a glass substrate.

  • Two individually addressable strips of microelectrode arrays with an interdigitated design.
  • Special circular cell design to achieve better sample drop adaptation.
  • Suitable for impedance, capacitance, and conductivity measurements, as well as fuel cells.

Thin-film Interdigitated Electrodes (IDE) are available in gold or platinum, with various widths and gaps. A standard SU8/PI resin protective layer is used to define the electrochemical cell, allowing for the use of very small sample volumes. IDEs are also available without this passivation layer upon request. Choose the option that best fits your experimental needs.
